VP of Operations | Research | Design
Welcome to BioVision Innovations. I’m Ben Wilhelm, Vice President of Operations for our student-led biotech team. My journey in biotechnology began at Tamalpais High School and continued to develop during the Harvard Pre-College Program, where I met Daniel, one of our team’s co-founders. Currently, I am studying Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology (MCDB) at the University of Colorado Boulder, where I balance my academic pursuits with hands-on experience in biotech research and operations.
In my role at BioVision, I oversee daily operations and contribute to our research efforts, particularly in AI-driven immunotherapy and cancer research. My professional experience includes collaborative work with Ancora Biotech and an internship at the University Clinic Cologne, where I independently identified a novel mutation in the p53 protein, a critical discovery in cancer treatment research.
My recent work explores antibiotic resistance in superbugs, addressing one of the most pressing challenges in modern healthcare. This research is available on the BioVision Innovations website and will soon be featured in the Research Archives of Rising Scholars. I have also published "From Code to Cure: The Role of Generative AI in Antibody Design and Immunotherapy Optimization," a paper developed with Polygence and UC Irvine.
Thank you for visiting BioVision Innovations. I look forward to sharing our discoveries and ongoing projects as we explore the intersections of biotechnology, AI, and medicine.
